Punk-Political Zine from the gutter up

Issue 001 rips open life on the edge of the city — kids, cops, walls, and all the in-between. This is a collage of protest flyers, bathroom graffiti, and midnight bus stop diary pages.

About the Barrio

Where it takes place

A border-adjacent neighborhood caught between luxury condos and forgotten warehouses. Police drones overhead, wheat-pasted art at eye-level. Kids write their own history in spray-paint and stolen notebook paper.

What it fights for

Tenant unions, mutual aid, street shows, and late-night plotting. The zine doesn’t pretend to be neutral — it’s a bullhorn for people who never got a microphone.

How it’s built

Mixed-media collage: photocopied flyers, marker sketches, phone photos blown out to high contrast. Every issue is meant to look like it could’ve been stapled together at 3am at a corner store copy machine.

Lore expands with every issue — new characters, new blocks, same defiant heartbeat.
